CLOSING PLATE GEAR SEL OPENING

This rubber part serves as a buffer and seal between the gear shift rod and the mounting plate of the shift control on a Citroën 11CV. It absorbs forces and movement that occur during gear changes and limits direct load on metal components. The rubber material supports guidance of the shift rod and helps reduce play in the shifting mechanism. The part has a rectangular shape with dimensions of about 54 by 95 millimetres. It is used in the drivetrain area to protect and support the mechanical connection between the gear shift rod and the vehicle body structure.
